    Width Of Pad

I have just got some Evazote Pad which is 1.5m long and 1.0m wide.
can anyone advise as to what I should cut the width? I do not want to waste loads by guessing, and I am sure lots of you guys have already been down this road.
    I am thinking between 24" and 30"max.
I will be using in my nice new WBBB dual layer. I cannot wait!!

If it is your only insulation, keep it wide. It sounds like a good size as is, because the hammock will force it into a cup shape, decreasing the effective width. When you get an underquilt, you can make a section that is about 18"x18".

    Pad Width

    Thanks Trooper.
I think you are right wider the better. At its full with though it is difficult to get it all in. I have just folded it and taped it down to be 30" and that seems ok. I am thinking of bulk as well.

If it is simply too big, JRB makes a torso pad that could serve as a guideline for dimensions. Based on it, try the 30" and see if you have enough coverage.

I roll my camera in Evazote and put in on top of my pack. The pack lid has extra clothes, which then give extra padding for the camera. It is bulky, but at least it serves a purpose and is easily accessible as a sit pad.

I use one 40" wide in my WBB. It is about right for my shoulders / torso. You can cut it down some as it tapers to the waist.
