    tree hanger for equipment

    A friend has this tree hugger system that his in-laws gave him with hooks on it that he wraps around a tree and uses to hang gear onto. He said he saw it at LLBean, but I've looked and they day it must be discontinued or something because they don't carry it anymore.

    There isn't any identifying label on it, but it looks like a broad wrap with a webbing strap that goes around a tree. On the broad section there are several hooks fixed that you can hang packs or other equipment from.

    Does anyone know who makes this or where I can find it or something similar. If necessary, I'll try to duplicate it myself, but I don't have all the right stuff and really don't want to buy it for one peice of equipment if I can find it for sale.
    Thanks

    I would guess something that would go along with a treestand.

    Yep. This is what I was looking for. Mine arrived this weekend (it was waiting for me at home when I got back) - it's already been added to my pack for the next trip.

    Thanks.

    This gives me a great idea! I can use my otherwise useless ENO Slap Strap Pro as a tree hugger/hanger. They are just nylon straps (Can you believe they make a suspension system from nylon!? AND THEY'RE STILL MAKING THEM!! - ask me how I feel about it...) with hoops sewn on. You could put 'biners through the hoops and hang all sorts of stuff. I'm totally gonna do this on my next hang. Stay tuned for pix!
    Thanks for the idea!!

    So many trees, so little time...
    We follow where the Swamp Fox guides,
    His friends and merry men are we;
    And when the troop of Tarleton rides,
    We burrow in the cypress tree.
    The turfy hammock is our bed,
    Our home is in the red deer's den,
    Our roof, the tree-top overhead,
    For we are wild and hunted men.

    And one of the few instances of the 'ultralight' version actually costing less!
