Blackbird 1.0 DL vs Blackbird 1.1 DL thoughts

I just got a Blackbird 1.1 DL for Christmas, and previously had a 1.0 DL I'm passing along to my wife.

Impressions: The 1.1 DL fits me better than the 1.0 did. I get a flatter lay, and no knee ridge like I did with 1.0. I am 5'8" 165 lbs. The ridge was fairly minor in the 1.0 DL for me, but it was noticeable, especially after experiencing the 1.1 with no knee ridge at all.

I hope this helps some others that might be wondering on which to choose.

Is this why the 1.0 is so cheap right now?

Post Also between 1.0 and 1.1

Are there any other thoughts out there about the comfort of the WBBB 1.0 DL? I am 5'10 1/2" and weight between 180 and 185? Wanting to make sure that I get the best and most comfortable lay.

i sold a bunch of dl1.0 that were coyote brown usa made, the new import ones are dark grey and haven't been out there very long at all.

in general, as you go to a lighter hammock the knee ridge gets less, but at some point, flatness decreases too. the dl1.0 would be fine (comfort-wise)for somebody up to 225 or so.

You mention the knee ridge. Is where the material "bunches up" or something else?

yeah, the material can bunch up under your knees, some people don't notice it. if you do notice it try laying with your torso closer to the shelf.
