I have a Golden Doodle who a fair number of you have met. He is a hypo-allergenic pup... but he sheds anyway! His hair grows to 6 or 7 inches in the winter and I cut it progressively in the spring until it's an inch by summer. I have two gallon sized bags of mostly brushings saved up but the kids complain each time I tell them I'm gonna make something out of it. I was thinking of a pillow. It would probably take two years of concerted effort to get enough for a quilt of any warmth. Guess I'll try the pillow and see how it goes.
Ah yeah, maybe that's the deal.
BTW, I had no idea about Chiengora, mentioned a few posts back.

Chiengora (pronounced she-an-gora) refers to yarn spun from dog hair.
Been used for quite a while, but pretty dog-gone expensive
I too will something make and joy in it's making
That reminds me, I like dogs .. other peoples dogs.
I hate dog hair over everything though
I go to the Ex's to see my kids and everything is covered in it .. even in the fridge, stuck to the tooth paste tube
Maybe I should put this in the 'what bothers you' thread
I will put my 30 lb pembroke welsh corgi up against any breed for shedding capability. Put your money down, I'll take any bet.
