You need to turn that into an itunes app so that it can be taken on the trail. Now that would be cool to have.

Nice! I think a nice little Hammock App would be a great idea. Put in the calculator, your excellent "how to" graphic info sheets, maybe a few tips and tricks and you'd have a nice little starter app that I would certainly pay for. I could see it eventually including some short video of setups, geotagging locations where you've hung, maybe eventually even accessing a database of state parks and areas that are hammock friendly. I doubt the Hammock App community is big enough to get rich, but it might be enough to support a new hammock setup every year

Hmmm. A hammock app. Well, I think that idea has legs. I'll get working on it.

Yes, I noticed that late last night after trying it out a few times. The calculation might be swapped so I'll take a look at it shortly. I should probably put a disclaimer on there in case any newbies cut suspension too short

    Back to the grind stone...

Okay, I fixed the suspension line calculation (no more triangulation) and updated the interface and design. The design is also fixed to fit the iPhone width, so give it a try!

    Thanks for the input.

D, I'm very excited about this, but now in your default: suspension x 2 + Ridgeline = exact tree distance. Shouldn't the suspenion length be approx 3.9'? (no Quant here, where is Grizz when we need him?) Also how do you put this on a phone like a HTC Touch Pro 2?
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"
