Maybe a group hang of the motorcycle hangers at Meadows of Dan someday? Would be a nice trip.

I made it out for a quick hang Thursday night. Vigilante campground (close to my house) was full when I arrived at 7:30PM, so I hit the BLM and camped in one of the spots up a road called Kelly Gulch. It ended up much better than Vigilante campground anyway (no people and no $5 charge).

I got to this spot with barely enough time to setup before dark.

Did a small fire so it would burn out fast before bed. A good night sleep, up by 6AM and home by 7AM or so.

Thanks! That was just my little point-and-shoot; a Canon PowerShot SD780 IS. Since it's two years old, they don't even make it anymore. Ha. Technology moves fast. It's been replaced by the similar, but updated Canon Powershot 300 HS which will be my next one.

I rarely bring my big Digital SLR along. Even this little two year old point-and-shoot does well enough and it slips in the outer pocket of my riding jacket as does the little Joby GorrilaPod tripod. If all I brought was my DSLR, I'd never want to haul it out, but the pocket camera is out in an instant to miss those quick shots and there is always room to bring it with.

I had an elph years ago (100?). Loved it. Maybe another elf will come my way!

Of course, the composition is really what made the picture. Regardless of what camera one has, a picture like the above comes from the shooter's skill, imagination, and perseverance.

    Kudos!

Of course, the bigger the motorcycle, the more you can carry.
    Now, where's that trailer........
