I grabbed a roll of fluoro yellow mason line at the hardware today, with a view to using it for guy lines or such.
I got bored so I now know how easy it is to make whoopie style guy lines.
Not for the weight conscious but good fun to play with.

gringo, show him some of the braided fishing line.
Fishing line is easy (with the right tool) compared to the tight braid on most mason line. Impressive.
I found this particular line pretty easy. Handled much like amsteel but at a smaller scale.
Tried previously with some old Aussie Army "hootchie" cord. (general purpose cordage similar to mason line, a hootchie is basically a tarp tent, but smaller)
I had the hootchie cord laying around with some stuff I was donated from some ex forces mates, and it was probably a bit old as it was **** stiff, impossible to thread more than just a fraction.
Braided fishing line sounds like a challenge for a rainy day though. Where did I put that magnifying glass?
What did you use for a fid? I just used some copper wire doubled back for the mason line but I dont think that would do to well in micro sizes?
Or did you just get a fine sewing needle?
Things we do for fun hey!
