I cut the sc, and put cord locks everywhere I could...now it's adjustable.

Sc (adjustable) over the rl is a very good thing, too.

OK, so let me get this straight.

    1. Make sure I orient the top and bottom correctly (wide end at top).
    2. Maybe make a loop at the footbox end and attach the UQ to it (avoid slippage).
    3. Tighten the UQ until it lifts the hammock above the ridgeline??? (This part I was unsure of...).

    Is this a good start...?

I have not tried the additional connection at the footbox but I have tied knots in both ends of the UQ suspension. Its pretty snug to say the least but its definitely a quick fix and I no longer have CBS. I do not have any issues with the footbox either so I am not sure why this would be needed.

I have a WBBB 1.0dlb and my 3S Inc fits just fine with the standard length shock cord setup. I ran a 12" piece of shock cord from the foot end and looped it over the gathered end of the hammock and now the quilt stays right where it should. If you get some CBS, take a few inches out of the suspension by putting another knot in the shock cord.

Make sure you cinch up the shock cord on both ends of the UQ. It will take quite bit of cinch to eliminate head and foot drafts.

I've had my 3 season Inc down to about 22*F and it works a charm.

I went tight when I shortened my suspension too, works great. I haven't added any shock cord over the RL but might do one on the loops toward the footbox. I did have a little air gap but not enough to get me out of the hammock even at 20*F (that's a 3 season incubator).

The shock cords are set so tight on the ends that it squeezes the ends toward the center (thus the RL droops) and the UQ's sides are now above the RL. When you get in everything goes back to what you know about ham mocking. RL above hammock.
Don't worry the rumor that the incubator reverses gravitation pull is unfounded

I have my TQ and some other stuff in my hammock so the UQ sags a bit but notice how far up my UQ comes up to my Tarp Rl. With an empty hammock, The RL of the Hammock and the edge of the UQ should be parallel to each other. Now its not going to be perfectly parallel but I think or at least hope you understand. If still confused let me know and Ill post some better pics of what I am talking about. Another thing to be noted is that in the pic it is a 3/4 Summer UQ so I let it sag to vent but a 3 season incubator would probaly need to be pulled tighter. Let me know if that makes sense.
