Thanks all for the nice welcome. Will post some pics as soon as I get 'the hang' Tonight I am making whoopie slings. Can't wait. Kat
Shug, thank you for the welcome. Just wanted to tell you how something you said in your 'introduce yourself' post was really important to me. I had been reading, watching videos, reading, watching videos trying to figure what is the best way for me to go with everything (suspension, insulation, tarp etc). It was all fun to look at and ponder but I felt like I was spinning my wheels. Your comment : "do not overthink it" hit home for me (I thought yep just do it) and I got all the hammock and tarp supplies ordered and haven't stopped yet.
I also really enjoy your video reports - especially your sense of humor So thanks and keep em coming!
Kat
Welcome to HF! Looking forward to seeing your DIY projects.

Hi from the other side of KC. I live over by Parkville with a franchise coming soon in Gladstone. Haven't taken my hammock on the road yet but have switched over to it from a regular bed. Fold it up every day to have more space in the room which got taken by a crunch bench.
Oh well, started at 305 before Tgivng and I was 272 Friday. Ways to go.
Road with the local Freedom Cruisers group though I think I missed every ride last year. Grandfather schedule kinda cut into my group riding times. This years trip is to Oshkosh for Airventure last week of July. Should be fun.
Suppose sooner or later we should get a KC hang going however there is a hang down south of Eureka Springs on the Buffalo for this spring. Take a gander for it in these forums.
Thanks, MrClean, for the info about the hang. I will watch for it. And congrats on your progress......way to go and keep it up. When I saw warmer temps it made me wish I had my gear ready to go....soon. Kat
