    Bad hang

Last night I wanted to do some cold weather testing. That's my excuse for sleeping in my bridge hammock. When I went to get in the pole at the foot snapped in two. I had a peice of wood to put in it's place but this is a pole that I thru'd with and have over 3000 miles on it. I extended it too far and it broke the bolt of the middle section. I'm sure I can get a replacement and I will start to search now so I have my poles for the winter hangout. Does anyone know a good way of getting replacement sections and have you had good experience with it. I have 2 weeks. In the morning I also realized I didn't close my quick link and it is bent open. I'm lucky and surprized it didn't bend completely open. I should be more careful, these could have been problems on the trail.

If you can't repair your pole by then, I would just bring a wooden dowel spreader bar and use it. It's not that far of a hike into the camp site.

I broke the lower section of a Leki Super Mak a few years back. I called them to see if I could buy just the lower section. They refused to charge me and not only did they send a replacement for the lower section but they threw in the middle section too "Just in case it bent a little." I think I had the replacement in about 3 days.

    Great customer service!
