    Tubing for self tensioner

i have found some latex tubing that is 1/4 id x 7/16 od x 3/32 wall thickness

my plan is to run the tarp lines through the tubing with extras inside so the tubing can stretch and secure with a knot on the tarp line and a zip ties on the outside of the tubing

do you think this tubing is too big for this or will it be ok?

what does everybody else use for tubing size?

Sounds a little big, but I'm sure it'll work, if you don't mind the extra weight. I'm not sure what everyone else uses. If I had to guess, I'd say 1/8" ID x maybe 3/8" OD. Also, latex tubing isn't much good below freezing, from what I hear.

    Good luck,

    thanks PF

thought it might be a bit big for the application, might have to look for something a bit smaller

yea i've heard it isn't the best at low temps too, not really planning on testing that out tho, so that doesn't factor in too much, although i did find one site that said in stayed flexible down to -53 find that hard to believe
