    UQ Over Stuff Temp Rating

When adding an "over stuff" option to an UQ does each ounce of over stuff equal a temp rating that can be added to how low it can go? Say I add 2oz over stuff on a 20 degree UQ, does that now make it a 15 or 10 degree UQ. I know that the temp rating is all subjective to ones own comfort level but I'm trying out how much 1, 2 or even 3oz of over stuff might equate to in an UQ's rating.

Take the ounces of down and multiply by the fill power. Then divide that answer by the product of te length times width of the quilt.

That answer is the theoretical thickness of the quilt under optimim conditions, i.e. zero humidity.

There are guidelines tha relate inches of loft to degrees (see www.thru-hiker.com). But remember, everyone's metabolism is different and yours will vary depnding on what you ate that day.
