    State Forums

What about a forum where you can find your state and talk to people within that state. It could be a place where people could discuss local sites and different types of hanging setups that work in that state. It could help new members by having an area to go to and ask for suggestions on local sites to begin with. If someone will be visiting a state they could visit that forum and get exact answers for any questions they may have. An example could be Archerytalk.com where they have a state forum and each state is a sub-forum. Or you could break it down into areas like spearboard.com.

I second this suggestion. Great idea.

A way to do this is to start a thread such as "NC Hangers" and see what happens.

Personally I think it would eat up a lot of space doing it that way as then you will have to add in other parts of the world.

I asked for a region set up in the Hangouts etc. and I think that would be the best way to begin finding people in your area to begin with.

I think that adding different states in a subforum would be a great idea. Not only for get-togethers and such, but for local issues, take Florida for example, we're not allowed to hang in state forests. And I think this type of subforum would enable us to work together as a team toward getting rid of this silly law.

We might add some regions to the Trip Planning forum, but there will not be forums for each state. That adds needless complexity to the forum structure.

A thread to discuss hammock concerns for each state will serve that purpose nicely.
