The Potomac is rated to 30 degrees, is that pretty accurate? I'd like to be able to use it in 20 degree weather. Thanks

I have only used my Potomac a few times but the best test was at 20* F in December in Oklahoma when they had a cold snap for several days and nights. My wife thought I was crazy (probably was, am) but I had just gotten my Potomac and was anxious to try it out. I had the UQ properly set with no gaps and the cold weather black bag from my MSS. I only wore a sweatshirt, flannel pants, cotton socks and a cap, no pads or anything else. It got down to 18-20*, according to the tv and my mom's outdoor thermometers. I know it was COLD, at least for the Gulf Coast cowboy! I slept great till about 5:00 am and went in for some coffee (neighbor dogs barking at each other). I don't think I could have gone much lower without additional gear, such as a pad or something under me in the hammock. The UQ is a solid 20-30* UQ, IMHO. Your results may vary.
Awesome, thank you! I think I'll have to have one soon! I think a sythetic UQ and a down TQ (3 season burrow) will be just fine for me.
