Thank you! I am very satisfied with it!
The bug net looks great too. Did you use plans for that or did you figure it out yourself?
It is similar to the Hammock Bliss No-seeum Cacoon (theirs weighs a little over a pound though). I used that as the basic idea then took away some size, and added or took away features I thought mine needed or didn't need! I like the ease of the zipper on the side as opposed to a sock that pulls up, and I also wanted something that full encloses me instead of draping over (last time I used one that draped over I got eatin alive through my 1.9oz hammock on the bottom!)
Excellent idea. I am thinking to treat some tarps too. On seams sealed with diluted silicone, I notice that the treated areas stay kind of sticky and don't want to unstuff from the stuff sack. Does your tarp turn into a stuck blob in the stuff sack?
No, not at all! But you want to use a thinner solution for a tarp than you use for seam sealing. I mixed my solution with a little more mineral spirits than a 4:1 (spirits:silicone) and it seemed to be just about right.
Any updates on how the tarp is doing on the short term

Bugs: You don't need me to make you look like a fool.
Yosemite Sam: Yer deerrrnnn right I don't!
I have used it on two trips and will use it again this weekend. No rain though.... although after last trip there was so much pollen on it, I set it up again at home and sprayed it off. I tested again at far and close range with pretty good pressure and still not even a slight mist came through! Everything else with the tarp seems to be working fine!
