As far as a hammock that hold two people there are a few options. First is the Clark Vertex. http://www.junglehammock.com/models/vertex/index.php IT is a two person hammock that has a seperate space for each person but hold you in the same packet.

Another option is a double hammock the ENO is a popular option. the double nest is plenty large enough to hold people, though some people do not like to be so scrunched together. http://www.eaglesnestoutfittersinc.c...t-hammock.html
    or

What a lot of couples settle on is hanging two hammocks on either side of the same two trees maybe a different heights. Then you get to sleep next to each other with out crowding each other. Like here

Trek Light Double Hammocks are very cheap, lightweight, and high quality hammocks. They are 10 feet long by 6 feet wide and hold up to 400 pounds. Hard to beat that for 70 or so dollars!

    Check it out at 4:30

TZ brown uses two hammocks and a spreader bar. Thats something I am looking to try out soon.

99% of people will not be comfortable sleeping 2 people in 1 hammock overnight no matter how wide it is. the vertex is basically 2 hammocks that are connected along a common side with a nifty storage area between, hanging 2 normal hammocks side by side is very popular and quite versatile.

This is a really funny coincidence! The reason I bought a second hammock was so I'd have a spare for a friend to join me. Funny enough, I bought it from WarbonnetGuy, who I didn't realize was actually on the forums until just now! Excited for the new Hammock

And I second that, two can sit in a hammock, like the Trek Light no problem with the weight or space, but sleeping is a whole other issue.

PE that is a great setup that TZ has for him and his better half. You need a bigger tarp but only one that way.

I agree that the best 2 person hammock for sleeping anyway is 2 hammocks. Although the hammocks with spreader bars can be better for sleeping 2 though.

My wife and I love our 90" wide tablecloth hammock for naps in the yard. Not even in the realm of UL, but it sure is mighty comfy.
Hammocking, car camping, backpacking, kayaking, and mountain biking. Getting in touch with nature is getting expensive. Good thing I can DIY!
