    Hello

I'm in the Air Force stationed at Dyess AFB in Abilene Tx. i just moved here from hurlbut field in florida and west texas doesn't have many "real" trees to hang a hammock from

i'm kind of new to the hammock scene, i got an ENO single nest a year ago with a bunch of moosejaw rewards points, i also got the guardian and slap "traps" (i will be going whoopie very soon). i also need some sort of insulation but first i'm told i need money, lots of money! so that's what i'm working with. not too terrible for free.

i'm really just trying to find new ways to "pimp" my hammock i guess. it would be nice to meet some folks near me that are into camping too.

    see ya'll later

Yes, welcome to HF. Glad you discovered us. I guess the trees thin out quite a bit out there in Texas the further west you go? Which makes it imperative (hmm, ok... maybe not imperative) for you to post pics of your West Texas hammock hanging whenever you get the chance. . Interested in the creative places you find to hang out there.
