Camo Pattern for Guide Gear tarp?

I want to color my Guide Gear 12x12 tarp. I found permenant magic marker seems to work pretty well on it (at least black as that is what i tried on one corner). Where would i find a pattern or is there one for DIY camo? I have some digital camo cloth, i guess i could try to go by that, but figured there may be a pattern somewhere. I am thinking about using the Black and Green markers, not sure if i can find Brown. I figure those 3 colors should make a fairly nice camo color. Any other suggestions?

I have found that finger oils will cause sharpies to bleed....

My Local Joann's has a 3-pack of spray dyes in CAMO!
I think it's the "Simply Spray" brand... looks like this:

I'm not sure if one kit would cover it, but if you include the default color in the pattern...

Given the tarp is coated nylon, I'm not sure how well this would work, but I really want to try!

JohnSawyer do you think that spray dye would work better than Permenant markers? If you do i may try to go by a Joann's and see if they have that dye local.

interesting note: I was looking for digital camo stencil patterns on google and came across a post that mention the military eliminated BLACK from thier camo. Here is the quote:
"You’ll notice that I used NO black. The military eliminated black in camo for a reason – it stands out. I favored light colors. The darkest I went was brown. "

So i doubt i will do any more with the BLACK Marker and see if i can find other colors or that spray dye from Joann's.

I seriously doubt it will work on sil. I'd love to see some tests to prove it though.

I'll be followin this thread. The GG 12X12 was a great deal but a little too bright for the woods for my taste.

I would think with sil that the properties that make it great for tarps (the shedding of water due to the impregnation of silicone) would also cause liquid dyes to just roll like rain drops. Then again DIY sil is another story. You would think someone here with time on there hands would go into the DIY silnylon business.
