Very cool artjrk! I remember Goshen and went there with my troop when I lived in Virginia.

Troop 705 and Pack 4705 out of Chesterfield Massachusetts. We went on a canoe in August. We had 6 boys and 4 adult leaders. Two of which were the guides. We had 7 out of 10 hangers. And two of the remaining 3 are interested in hanging.
Right now our troop host about 18 kids out of them we have 13 hangers and two out 5 adult leaders that hang. 3 are brand new webelos that crossed over this past April. Went to one camp out and all of the decided to start hanging.

My dad switch over to another floundering troop when I entered scouts as a kid. My parents had split and I lived with my mom across town. No one in my troop hung. But apparently my dad was hanging back then (1970's) He had a DIY (everything with hom was DIY) hammoch where he had sewn a sleeping bag directly to the bottom of the hammock to prevent CBS. Interestingly its not until now when I became a SM that he has ever told me any of this.

I'm going to formally be installed as Scoutmaster for Troop 615, Baltimore Area Council this Sat at our Court of Honor.

I'm new to hammock camping...have a total of 5 nights so far. I'm the only one hanging to camp at this point, although there are some who are interested. Several boys and adults bring hammocks with them on outings, but just to use to relax. Of the 60 or so boys that went to summer camp this year, there were ~10 who had brought or bought hammocks. There's potential!

To help fan that interest, I've arranged to have a couple ASMs over this weekend. We're going to be building portable hammock stands! Using the turtle dog inspired stand. In order to do some QA on the stands, will need to have some hammocks available... Glad REI was having a sale on the Byer traveler!

We have 15 or 16 of us in hammocks now in Troop 303, Carneys Point, NJ. I was using a hammock and the boys and leaders all tried it. They were hooked! So I made custom hammocks for everyone.

Troop 332 in Lexington, SC has two hangers, both leaders, but a lot of wannabe Scout hangers with Christmas wish lists.

There are quite a few hangers here in the Heavy Woollen District in Yorkshire and my group, Hanging Heaton are about to get two more leaders and we may start some of the scouts too.

I'm Cubmaster of Pack 46 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We have five hammock campers (three leaders and two boys, including my son, who is a Webelos Scout). But several others have expressed interest.

There's one local Boy Scout Troop that has a lot of hangers, especially among the boys. Their leaders are about half and half now, I think.

My son told me the other day that whether or not he can hang will affect his troop decision next year.

Scoutmaster of Troop 553 in Denver and Asst. Den Leader of Pack 870.

Only hanger in both currently (I just started this last summer) but am working to get others to convert. Several of the adults have mild back problems, so getting them to switch shouldn't be too much work.
