Once you get it dialed in you'll love it. It takes a couple of times to get the tension figured out.
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

Congrats I will be awaiting pictures and a debrief on your first hang. A black bird is kind of the Cadillac around here so I am looking forward to the day when I can say mine is in the mail.

I just got mine for a birthday / commissioning gift, loving it after just an afternoon in the woods, what are you all using for tarps?

I grabbed a Hennessy Hex Tarp, the "70D Hex-Shaped PU Coated Polyester Ripstop" fly. Cheap. A nice woodsy (read hidey (new word)) od green color. Lots of coverage for the BB. Downside is weight and packability. I fold and roll and get it down to about 1.5 times as tall as a 1 liter Nalgene but slimmer. Does the "porch mode" thing really well. I pitch it like that 8/10 times.

WB offers the fancy fabrics to save on weight with the fancy doors and pullouts and such. I am sure they are extraordinarily nice but are overkill for what I want a tarp to do.

    YMMV.

Thanks, what I ordered, I hope it comes in soon, we have a week of Thunderstorms ahead of us, and I need something better than a space blanket to use for a tarp for an up coming FTX.

Great tip right there, after all...how are you going to know when the WBBB is all dialed in unless it gets the nap test. If you feel like you have been shot with a tranquilizer dart, you have arrived.

In a discussion about hang suspension angle GrizzlyAdams made a suggestion that has proven to be very useful to me. Make a "gun" with your index finger and thumb (thumb straight up) and point it, while keeping it level, at the hammock along the suspension. When the suspension just touches the top of your thumb and index finger you have an approximate 30 degree angle.

Then there is Brandon's video here that was gold. I find that much shorter webbing on the foot end and about 10 inches raised is what it takes to get my sweet spot once the suspension angle is set. YMMV
