Great job.

I am about to start on my 3rd and I am experimenting like crazy.

How Is the half bugnet working out. Not that half a bugnet saves much weight but it does save on the weight in zippers.

It appears to hang very well and I can completely seal it by arranging the net on top of my quilt. Weight is 119 grams or 4.2 oz

I did a bit of mods to Dejoha's initial design by adding a stretch cord and toggle to the upper end where it attaches to the hammock rather than velcro.
I added a second one about half way down the curve. I also added one to the tail end with a light stretch cord and mitten clip to attach to the foot end. The tail end can be fully pulled back for easy entry but will help arrange the net after you get in

I also made it from 2 - 30 inch wide pieces, so it has a center seam near the ridgeline area.

Adding a triangle shortens up that side edge significantly. If you did this on both sides, it would make it nearly impossible to get out, as you end up with a fabric bathtub.

I believe it was Bankheadboy who made one. He added a zipper down the side of the hammock (set vertically) so he could get in and out. I don't see it in his gallery any more. The thread was from over a year ago...

Thanks for the video TZ. It really helps a lot. I just started reading this thread I love making my own gear & will be definitely following along. I will be waiting for your next video installment with baited breath ( or maybe just breath that smells like bait)

I'm planning on building one of these soon and was wondering if it would work to use a 1/2" piece of webbing sewn into the footbox side instead of the lash-it? Anybody think it would be better/worse/indifferent? I was thinking that once the triangle was sewn in you could just do a piece of webbing bridge-style down the whole footbox side for reinforcement and support. Anyone have an opinion?

I'm trying to wrap my head around the asymmetrical body cuts for this hammock before I slice up my nylon and am slightly confused. Can someone look at my drawings and double check me?

Starting with a piece of ripstop that is 60" wide and 120" long and cutting the top and bottom into diagonals, correct?
