    oh c'mon, this little discussion was positively gentil, well, at least by comparison with other discussions concerning patents.

    But I confess that this morning I wrote a couple of paragraphs on what might be patentable on the JRB BMBH, most of which was a plea not to start a flame war about patent law, the philosophy behind it, and its use or abuse in American business today. Past experience here (and a second cup of coffee) brought me to my senses and I deleted it without posting. We will find out all in good time what claims they're making. Is enough. Except there I went and wrote another paragraph on it.

    Yep, it seems patents are the "third rail" around here. You wave a red flag while holding a lightning rod when you mention them (did I miss any metaphors? Which ones?).

    Maybe 'flame-worthy', but the other discussions have (IMO) been so negative because of the way THat person handles situations. Business is business, but bad business causes bad vibes. I'm with Grizz; let's see how the Jacks handle everything before we get our collective feathers ruffled.
