Sorry, Jax! We were out on a rare occasion to listen to a thru-hiker's presentation at OSU this evening, and had to turn our phones off. It should have gone to voice mail, sorry. Man, the ONE time we both leave the shop...

We'll be camping out here for the next few days, so call us!

    Unacceptable!!!!!

I called back and it did go to voice mail the second time. No worries. I'll give a call later today.

It was great talking with you today JaxHiker. Sorry about all the phone tag. .

I have been looking into some kind of phone implant that would make me a little more accessible. The problem is that even though it is a carried weight, it still weighs 3 or 4 ounces.... I might just have to bite the bullet and do it!

The guy we saw was named Jeff Alt. His trail name was wrong foot. The presentation was not bad at all. It was a packed house.

    Ditto.

I think you've given me a new challenge. I like to tinker with electronics. I bet we can get an implant down to an acceptable weight.

I wish we'd get more presentations like that around here. I was happy to catch Backpacker's Get Out More tour last year. Unfortunately Jacksonville isn't much of a hiking mecca.

Anybody get any of the Woodland Camo fabric from Stormcrow and Thorwren? Is it suitable material for making a hammock? The site says it's breathable so I assume it is but I wanted to check to make sure. Thanks

I've seen a couple people make hammocks out of it as well as quilts.
