    The ball head Stickpic

Inspired by specialk198305's thread on his take on the StickPic, I thought I'd share my take on it after enjoying (what I consider) great success with it in the canoe this weekend.

This is all gear I already owned, so there's a huge L-bracket holding the camera but, hey I never said it was pretty You really wouldn't need the L-bracket but I use this ball head on my gorilla pod w/ my SLR which also has an
L-bracket, so I just put brackets on everything.
I probably do not need as long of a bolt in the clamp as I have but, thats how long it was and I was too lazy to cut it off.

As you can see in the last pix, you can get just about any angle you want. So when I had it in the canoe, I could get it out away from the boat on the trekking pole and adjust the angle to point at me. Works good for walking around too and you can easily get the worms eye view, or the birds eye view.

    Good luck,

Thanks John, I likey too. It seems to be a fairly versatile rig. I might just permanently mount the clamp above the basket on my hiking pole and just spin the head on when I want it.
    Good luck,
