    Need Help with Tarp Ridgeline

I received a tarp ridgeline from a PIF , I have no clue how to use it I took some pictures, Ive watched alot of videos and i know I can tie one side to the tree using the figure 9 but I might be wrong on that too. It has three prussics and one figure 9 and each end has a loop.

    any feedback would be great

Let's see.... first the end that's farthest from the figure 9 prussic gets attached to one tree (but I'm not sure how The easiest way is probably bringing the end around the tree and using a toggle to attach the loop to the line.) Then you take the other end around the far tree and use the figure 9 to pull it tight and secure it. (The loop on the dangling end doesn't get used, but it looks nice and you could hang stuff from it.) If you need to move the figure 9 along the line, the prussic lets you do that. The tarp is stretched between the other two prussics.

yea I attempted to hang it and I figured out the figure 9 one but I just dont know the right way to do the other side. Ive never had a tarp ridgeline before and I wish I knew a better way to describe this situation. I dont know how to use a toggle. Ill look into it though

I use a mini biner on the other end. Just go around the tree clip and then go to the other end and use the hook to get it tight then wrap it into the part with teeth then do a slippery half hitch to keep it from coming out. I'll get a picture here in a little bit.

Ps: a toggle in a marlin spike hitch can be subbed for the biner if you prefer or just don't have a biner handy

Hook a biner on the loop on the end, that is attachment to the first tree. The end with the figure 9 get wrapped around the 2nd tree, and is used to put tension on the RL. The tarp attaches to the remaining 2 pursiks, with mini biners, toggles or whatever you have.
Its a proven fact that 78.4% of all statstics are made up on the spot.

I wish I could draw you a picture. I'll try with words. Bring the end of the line around the tree and make a loop in the line where the end loop meets it. Pull the line loop through the end loop and put a stick (toggle) in it. Tighten it down by pulling the line toward the other tree.

    With toggle or mini biner...

Or just feed the whole line through the loop, but that's a pain.
