Back in business...First project with sewing mcahine!

I started and finished my first project with my new sewing machine (its really about 25yrs old but new to me!) last night. It was a humble bug net setup for a very simple hammock I just made (its dumb how simple this was but if you want, directions are at http://backpacking.weebly.com/myog-projects.html) The finished product works with a stuff sack style closure at each end with a barrel lock and a long seam to makethe cloth into a cylinder. Thats it. Simplicity at its best.

That's awesome. Be careful. It is a slippery slope. Start one project, then pretty soon the machine will not get put away. Not that it is a bad thing.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

Boy is that the truth! Tons of fun, but a bit obsessive.

Hey, congratulations! And you didn't even hurt your back. I should have started with a bug net!

like cgul1, I cannot seem to find a description of the hammock itself.

My first project (once I get a working sewing machine) will be a hammock or two. Then I'll be moving on to bug nets! I can't wait to see a picture of your finished project!

I clicked on the MYOG shelter section- (catagories column right hand side of page) it took me to the hammock/bugnet description.
