    Question 1.3 oz Silnylon

I came across this fabric while looking at the cuben fiber:

http://www.questoutfitters.com/Lightweight.htm (Look just under the Cuben fiber.)

Wierd...I noticed the title calls it 1.1 oz, but the description lists 1.3 oz...later they also list 1.1 oz...

Would this 1.3 oz silnylon be desirable for making a hammock out of?

Most of them are like that. It is 1.1 oz before the silicon treatment. Afterward it comes closer to 1.3.

I like a breathable material for the hammock due to contensation issues, but that is just me.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".

This has been discussed on the forum a couple of times before. While it can be done, the general consensus seemed to be that it's better to use a more breathable fabric than silnylon to prevent condensation issues.

Gotcha! That answers like 3 of my questions! I can see that the 1.1 listed down the page is untreated!
