    1.5 oz Ripstop

As you all can probably tell, I am a novice when it comes to fabric...bear with me!

    I saw this yesterday:

http://www.rockywoods.com/ripstop_nylon.htm--I am referring to the 1.5 oz. 70D Ripstop in white. (at the bottom of the page)

What are your thoughts on this fabric for hammocks?

1.5 will hold a light person, if they are really careful. White would not be my choice for a hammock. You could also back it up and make a two layer hammock with some 1.1 or some Walmart Polyester. You can get 1.9 for the same price and feel more confident with a bigger color selection.

    Thanks!

Out of curiosity, why not white? And what color would you go with?
