4 days of fun and relaxation in Mich.

Finally took a real vacation. Went up to the thumb area to get away for awhile. Had to test some new gear, sawyer gravity filter, mega ogee, hudson river top quilt, vasque breeze hiking boots, pocket stove from sportsman guide..
2 days of rain and 2 days of beautiful sunshine!! All in all everything worked perfectly. kept dry as a bone with the ogee despite the blowing rain tryin its hardest to do otherwise.. The boots were a dream.. the pocket stove was very fun as well..cloud like sleeping in the black bird and hudson river.. Temps were in the 50s during the day and lowest at night was 35-36 deg. My last time using the wally pad....yipee.. It was a great time..

We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..

Nice. Sounds like a great time. No issues breaking in your boots?
