I really suspect my foot issue (cold!) was due to not enough sag in the hammock and having my feet slightly elevated. All the blood went to my core which was nice and toasty. At least this is my suspicion.

I sleep with my feet slightly higher than the rest of me. I read about a lot of people hanging this way. It might be part of it though.

Are your feet pushing against the insulation and compressing it? Sometimes I can feel a difference by just moving my feet.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".

make sure you leave enough space in your double bottom to fit a pad in.

I use my double bottom to store stuff like a water bottle, my journal, torch (translation: flashlight) etc. Small stuff, now that I use an underquilt.

This was not the problem. The bag was not compressed and my feet were centered on the pad when I first noticed the issue.
