WTB: Boy Scout Needs Help finding Hex tarp and hammock

    Friends,
I am working with a young scout with minimum funds in my troop that is in need of a Hex Tarp and Hammock (with screen). I am not sure if anyone has something in a closet they have been looking to clear out, but if you do, please PM me.

    • He would need something larger than a Hennessy Scout.
    • I can repair something if it needed it
    • Anyone with Raw Materials?
    • Great opportunity to clear your closest and help a young hammock hanger

    Thank you

You could always go with a Byer Moskito Hammock and poly tarp for about $35-40 in a pinch.

I saw some nylon hammocks at Basspro for $20, you'd have to rig some bug protection and a tarp, but I think for under $50, you'd be able to pick something up.

Hammocks are super easy to make. Just get some nylon fabric, tie an overhand knot in each end and attach ropes via a larkshead knot and you're done.

You used to be able to find fabric at walmart in the sale bin, but they're phasing that out.

    Consider making a hammock...

friends. Thanks for your help. We have a couple weeks until Summer Camp, so it looks like I need to get busy, and break the thread injector out again.

    Thanks.

If Mule tape is an acceptable suspension option, PM me your address and I'll get some out (30' should be enough.) I have to get to the postoffice this week to send some to Roadrunnr72 anyway.
