Idea for new kind of suspension?

So laying in the hammock today I got to thinking (a rar thing in the hammock) and why not a continuous suspension? Heres the idea, and I'm laying claim to it...

Take some 1" web strapping, about 30 feet of it. Loops sewn or knotted to attach hammock as a SRL, then either triglides or cinch buckles. wrap the ends around the tree, tighten as needed and attach hammock.

Might not be the perfect thing for UL hiking, but it could be convenient.

Might have to make one up.

Bonus, if it holds well you could possibly hang lower, as in where you attach your straps to the trees. Might be playing around this week

I think that's what's known as a SLS, or single line suspension. A search will turn up quite a few threads.

I think this is the thread that started it all but I'm not positive.
