    Duel

I have been lurking around here for about 2-3 weeks how, so I guess its time to ask question?

They way I sleep I am almost sure I would like to have a bridge hammock. I am not really very good at sewing, except to sew my fingers together.

I would like to buy a gather end hammock and convert it over to a bridge, cutting stuff up and fitting things together are not a problem.

Bottom line is that before I buy a JRB I would like to try one out and converting one over to a bridge is something I would like to do.

Can it be none and if so which hammock do I start with, I would buy a used one first.

    Thanks

    John

You would only be using the donor hammock for the fabric by the time you cut out the bridge pattern. It would be easier to start from scratch IMO. I would post a "Want to Buy" thread in the For Sale forum and see if anyone will part with a used bridge.

I appreciated your placement of suspension cut shaped fabric between the bugnet and the hammock body. Fitting sewn in bugnets to a bridge hammock is a bit of a pain.

Yours has nice simple lines to it. Mine has a pad pocket, and I'll tell you, getting everything lined up right for the hem that brought it together took a lot of measuring and pinning.

In the end though, mine is the most comfortable hammock I have. Also the heaviest DIY hammock I've made

    thanks for making the video
I agree about the comfort and the weight On the bugnet I was forced to use the fabric due to the width of netting I had. In the end I do think it made it easier. Trying to match the bugnet to the cat cut would have been more of a challenge.

    Thanks for the comments.
