Stupid snow is everywhere this year..
Im going for a 2 day trip to Badger Creek Wilderness tomorrow morning.

Next week Ill be running up to SoapStone Lake and checking it out.
week after that Ill be trying to get to Rock Lakes
Reports will be coming with pictures!
I plan on hitting two places a week if I can.

Was hoping to take my WBBB 1.1 with me to give it a proper test.
But alas, My UQ only shipped out today so.. I would freeze.

Its a good thing I like my Explorer UL

It must be wonderful to have so much free time to check out two places a week.

On that note in 2 weeks the wife and I are going on a 4-5 day backpack. Keep me up to date on snow levels up there around Ptown.

Right now anything above about 3500 ft that has trees is mostly under snow.
Hoping that clears up semi quick.. But looking like it might be mid August

    Snow

That and the weather is so humid and wet for June. I don't think I'll even be able to camp, as my wife's grandmother is expected to pass away this summer. I can't be out of contact and miss the funeral.

I appreciate it. Grandma is in nursing home in Vacouver. Wife is making several trips down a week. Gas is a killer. (But so is cancer!).

Badger Creek would be to far of a hike for a fair amount(6miles).
Soap Stone Lake is not big enough.
Ill check a few places next week to see how far the snow has moved since my last trips out. Might venture towards Salem for a night as well.

    Someone go Melt the snow!

    I'm in

The last weekend of July would be fantastic... after that I have the last week of September I can play with.
Any word on location yet? Or if it's even on?
Let us know. Had the hammock set up in the back yard today.. needs to get out into the woods!

    Just moved to Oregon!

Hello Oregonians, I just moved to Klamath Falls and would like to hook up with some fellow hangers. I have until the end of August then the family joins me and my time will be limited.
