OK, I had the same "issues", not as annoying, but there none the less. I tried all of the options offered before, with minimal relief. What worked best (In combination with raising the foot end & sleeping closer to the head end) is shortening the ridgeline last night offered the most relief, & with the other changes I had already done, I'm "Golden"!

Approximately how much did you shorten the ridgeline, Doctari?

    Agreed.

I shortened the ridge line and calf pressure went away.

I experimented by using an adjustable ridge line mounted on the outside of the bug net while
    The original remained.

Did not measure before & after, but a close guess is about 3",,,, MAYBE 4" but no further. The Marlin spike hitch I used last night* prolly took up 2.5" if that, but my test lay earlier today with the "permanent" fix felt even better.

*Forgot to mention I shortened it "Temporarily" last night by tying a marlin hitch around a tent stake. Much easier than re tying if it didn't work, but it did work so,,,,,
