we've got so many Canadian geese in the US now (some year round), that every so often you hear talk about how to deal w/ the mess they leave behind & the dangers they cause at air ports.
but they are still protected by law... for now. maybe they will decide to reduce the population by having an open season.

I just saw a post where someone used a down pillow... kowabunga! That seems like an excellent, inexpensive solution!
