Thumbs up Got my Outdoor Research Tough Guy Challenge Gear Prize)))

    Hey ya'll.
So.....update on the Backpacker Magazine Tough Guy Challenge Win.....
Got all my gear today.......box-load of all kind of wearable gear.

Maybe I am not so tough as I passed on the Mt. Rainier trip. Just won't work for me. All the dates are during my busy summer schedule. My work as a comedy juggler is "feast or famine". Had one weekend I could do in September but that was my least favorite month to go....less snow....and I am all give out after a summer of doing three shows a day at State and County Fairs all summer...sometimes 12 days in a row and then to another. Honestly.....I am exhausted.

On top of that...I would have to miss my yearly 9 night trip with Hickery)))))
Going on the Mt. Rainier trip with a bunch of strangers three or four to a TENT and being the old man AND NOT GETTING TO SLEEP IN MY HAMMOCK just made it not as appealing as a Linville Gorge Trip....at least to me.
Tough.....well that is subjective. I am a Backpacker. Alpine stuff can wait until I can do it with friends.

Backpacker Mag and the IGM Guides were cool. Maybe pass it to second placer.

I was just happy my video won. They are doing a Winners Spread in the May Issue and have been interviewing me and the 2nd and 3rd placers. Cool.
So....have a look at the gear I won. Prepare to drool>>>>>>>
    Shug

    ADDED UP.....$1154 VALUE

    Nice swag Shug!!!!

Too bad about the timing of the trip, but I've got to respect you principles!! Life's too short to not spend as much as you can with friends!!

Congratulations Shug on being the world's best dressed hiker!
Don't blame you for choosing swinging in a hammock in the Gorge over being couped up in a tent on Ranier!
