    WBBB footbox...how awesome is it???

Hey everyone, I've never used a WBBB but I'm really intrigued by the footbox. Does it make that much of a diffenence for your flat lay? I have a HH Backpaper right now and don't really wan to spend $175 just to try out the footbox...but I also kinda do

I'm new to hanging, but after trying the Hennesy and now owning the WBBB, I can most definitely say the footbox greatly increases comfort for me. My feet don't feel as mashed into the side of the hammock and my calves are relaxed and not cramped up. Small modification, but big benefits. Two thumbs up.

The thing about the footbox is you have a footbox for your feet but nothing for your head. I tried a BB once and didn't think it was that great. My suggestion is to try one if you can before you spend the money on it. Ask if there is someone close that has one and if they would like to do a weekend trip with you or find one of the group hangs.

yea ive read that the footbox actually doesnt improve the lay, it just helps with the bug netting.

One thing the footbox does do is give your feet a solid fabric wall to push against. This compares favorably to a netless hammock in that your heels won't pop over the edge of the hammock fabric. It also compares favorably to other popular net hammocks in that your feet aren't pushing against the mesh netting.

quote from brandon at warbonnnet: the footbox keeps the net shape from causing any restriction to the diagonal lay, allowing you to fully stretch out just like you'd be able to do in a wide no-net hammock

I love my BB and I had owned a Hennessey before.

Here is my video on both Warbonnet hammocks. Your mileage may vary:

The footbox is great, especially for taller guys like myself. Big feet need some more room
