Had a day off last Friday and decided to spend some time in the morning at our local park to test out the hammocks I recently made (one for myself and my son - daughter already had one).
Everyone enjoying the hammocks...
Happy as ever...
After an hour or so, the kids wanted to just go somewhere and just camp for the weekend. So off we go
An hour or so drive we arrive at a campground in the ANF area.
My setup for the night. Decided to sleep under the stars for the evening.
My view from the hammock
Kids doing their thing with rocks.
My nephew and niece decided to join us for the weekend.
Enjoying the afternoon fire.
A quick dip to cool off from the heat
"Daddy I'm cold"
Mom and daughter just hangin' out
Overall had a wonderful weekend just hangin' out with my family and enjoying the surroundings. Even saw a deer that evening walking past our tent and just looking around - the kids got a kick out that for sure.
This was my first time sleeping in the hammock and it was a beautiful thing to sleep thru the night and not have backpain in the morning. My only complaint is that I didn't have a tarp over me because early Sunday evening, we were greeted by a surprise shower and I had to take down my hammock at 5AM...and I didn't really want to get up.
Anyway, thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy my small TR .
