    Hi from MD

Hello, I am new to the hammock camping thing, going to try it out in the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks this fall. Got interested in it when a friend told me about how comfortable his was and then stumbled on this site. Initial setup is going to be a Skeeter Beeter Pro with a Guide Gear Tarp and probably a PLUQ. Still sorting the whole thing out so will be posting lots of questions. As a gear head I find the whole science of rigging these setups fascinating.

Welcome from Baltimore MD. I'm right around the corner from ya.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Welcome from Gaithersburg. You should try to make the fall MAHHA group hang in Oct- I've never been, but it looks like a lot of fun. Search here on the forum.

Welcome from Crofton. There is more info on here than you can shake a treking pole at. Be sure you check out the acronyms thread. Really helps understand what folks are saying.
