Bring your bear spray and don't sleep with cookies in your pockets. They are plentiful.

Don't know mate but I was googling a bit yesterday, map bandana to be precise.

I mean a bandana is as multifunctional as they come and I knew there were some 'mapdana's' so, among others, this came up.

No idea if it is any good but if they would have it for areas I am traveling I would want one....

    Happy trails!

i was in yellowstone two years ago and if its anything like the gallatan range it should be a great place to hang . the wife and i did 60 miles on the sky rim trail. it is an epic place you should have a great time . i agree with the bear spray there are so many bears and they are no joke.

bear cannister is a requirement,,enjoy yellowstone..its the only place with no other compareable like it. Your at a avg. 8000 elevation, so watch your weather.

A good link if you have not seen it:
    http://www.yellowstone-natl-park.com/heart.htm

Also grizzly warnings posted for the eastern front of the Beartooth Range. Reason: never have there been so many sightings.
The cannister stays with you at all times. UDAP's version comes with a holster and you can shoot from the hip with it without taking in out. It's the one I carry.

That is a beautiful area and heavily forested, so you should have no problems. There are some date restrictions based on the bears coming out of hibernation and normal flows, but I am sure you are aware of those and planning accordingly. You will love it.
