Since I retired, some times I stay awake all day, some times all night.

It's true. I already bought a hammock, tarp, UQ, and TQ because of HF. I initially signed up to get in on an Amsteel group buy. LOL

The first time I had to break out the space blanket, I was unaware of how loud and crinkly they were. My sister and her husband were sleeping close by in their hammocks, so I tried my best to keep quiet, but throughout the night I was shifting around a bit. The next morning, I asked my sister how she slept, and she said that her husband had been eating crackers all night and kept her awake (imagine the 6 pack of crackers in a crinkly cellophane wrapper). I told her what it actually was, and we had a laugh. It's now an inside joke with us, and we call them cracker bags instead of space blankets. Maybe you had to be there, but trust me, it was funny at the time .

Another time while camping, my sister laid out in the sun on top of a Adventure Medical Kits emergence blanket (the one that is orange on one side with the survival instructions printed on it). When she got off the blanket, the survival instructions had transferred onto her skin like a Lick N' Stick tattoo. She didn't realize it until another group of campers started staring and whispering! She practically had to scrub away her first layer of skin to get it off. That has been the source of many good jokes .

Then, this one time, at band camp... no, that’s all I have .
    LOL...funny stories friend!

It's called Insul-brite. It's a space blanket needle punched between two layers of polyester scrim... It's not very compressible, but it's surprisingly warm. Since it's needle punched, it breathes.

Just be careful on DRY days in a nylon hammock... You find yourself being the human leyden jar with every movement... It's a great fireworks show at night, though!

What happens at band camp... stays at band camp. I never went, kids do though, and even I know that rule. (Of course my daughter spends two days breaking it every year. Good laughs though.)
