    aluminized canopy fabric?

I have a 12 x 12 quick shade canopy that the frame has bent. now I had thought that the aluminized canopy material could be good for a tarp and or an insulating cold weather quilt shell.

Any thoughts on the best uses for the fabric, 12 x 12 hip roof canopy would make two big diamond tarps, or a tarp and 2-3 quilt shells. But I haven't seen a lot of info on what it's best suited for. I'm not sure of it's breathable enough for personal wear. I know it's not the lightest but I mostly car camp and a good hammock setup even a heavy diy one is lighter than a tent, cot, chair, ect. and more comfortable to.

Well I guess I'm not alone in not knowing what the best uses are for this stuff. I just hate to pitch it.

You could make tarps out of it. Especially if you don't care about the weight...
Would be great in the summer to block the heat.

I would be iffy on the quilts unless I knew it was breathable.

    Just my 2 cents.
Good luck on your projects and don't forget to post pictures!
