    Dodgy $10 Under Quilt

I picked up a used sleeping bag for $6 from a thrift shop and added about $4 worth of shock cord and made myself a super cheap under quilt.

It might weigh 1200g and probably won't insulate very well but for ten bucks I'm not complaining.

That looks a lot better than my el cheapo!! I used a Coleman sleeping bag that was rated for 20*-30* and was comfy into the low 30's. I didn't even have shock cord so I used Masons line and cut up an old Pilates resistance band rigged up tarp tensioner style. It was pretty ugly but it got me through that trip.
