Hello Hangers!
New hammocker here in the Gainesville area. Been camping most of my life, with and without the BSA, hence the nickname, and had been looking at getting off the ground for a couple of years. My back has been begging me to do something different, and the camp cot that makes camping tolerable these days is so against my normal camping ethos (pack it on your back and go away from the paved roads) that it makes me nuts.
Pulled the trigger on the Hennessy Explorer Deluxe Zip with the Typhoon fly and the 4 season system - nice rig once I got it set. First camp out is this weekend - OA ordeal! Will let you all know how it runs out, and of course, I plan to tweak things some.
Happy to be here, love what I've seen so far, and don't ever plan to go back to the ground if I can help it.
Lots of hikes in the future planned - Baden Powell style sleeping for me from here on out!
YIS,
Ted
