68" templates added above. I'm going to try to get 65" done in the near future for Speer's sil.

Thanks a bunch for making a paper pattern, and thanks to Angry Sparrow for hosting it! I'm giving it a whirl today with uncoated $1 bin camo ripstop. Probably can't silicone it until tomorrow because we usually have afternoon thunderstorms this time of year.

Let me know how it works for you. If you can see anywhere improvements would benifit, I'm open to suggestions.

Your pattern was very easy to use. Trim one edge of the paper along the line, line up the A with the A on the next sheet and tape together. Repeat for the rest of the alphabet. Very idiot proof. I can't think of any improvements to suggest. Thank you again!

I've cut out the tarp, sewed the ridge line and point reinforcement patches, and the hem on the one of the six curved edges. Got sidetracked yesterday and have family stuff to do today so that might be all I get to until next week. The hardest part was keeping my zillion cats off the fabric. They love to play in it!

I'm finding it fairly easy to hem even though it's all curved. I'm folding over about 1/4 inch twice as I go, just keeping a few inches ahead of the needle. I think many of you refer to that as a rolled hem. It's not fast, but it beats pinning. I'm using a narrow zigzag stitch so it has some flexibility. The rest of the fabric is all bunched up on my lap and the table.

    Short People Tarp

These are great patterns! Thanks everyone for putting these up for us!

....Gee (*sniff*), I sure wish there were some for a narrower width tarp, for short people who have to hang low and can't pitch their tarp sides close to the hammock in bad weather because their tarps are too wide.... (*sniff*)

I'm thinking that 54-ish inches would be great. I could go shorter on the ridge length too (maybe 132ish inches), since my hammocks will also be shorter in length

It sure would be great to be able to make one of these and have it be the size that would work for me!

Thanks again! You're my hero !!

I think that when the lies are all told and forgot the truth will be there yet. It dont move about from place to place and it dont change from time to time. You cant corrupt it any more than you can salt salt. - Cormac McCarthy
