    sil-nylon is highly flammable. That's why there are no tents made from it. Take care around any open flames.

    I'm not aware of any materials used for fabrics that would be good for a light tarp and be heat/fire resistant enought to stop embers from burning pin holes in it. Even the teflon layer in Goretex melts when an ember lands on it.

    Just use fuel that tends to not make them, and keep it well away from the tarp. Stoves are your friend from this point of view.
