    We certainly have a active group here in the State just chomping at the bit, waiting for that 1st cold front. The big Florida Hang in January in the Ocala Nat. Park is a MUST!!
    You will see all manner of hammocks and other hiking gear and come away with 2 things.
    1. An Advanced Degree in Hammocking.... and
    2. A full stomach
    Or as we like to refer to it, The 2nd Annual Florida Hammock Suspension Stress Testing event. More food than you can put away in a months' worth of camping.
    Welcome to the forums!

    So many trees, so little time...
    We follow where the Swamp Fox guides,
    His friends and merry men are we;
    And when the troop of Tarleton rides,
    We burrow in the cypress tree.
    The turfy hammock is our bed,
    Our home is in the red deer's den,
    Our roof, the tree-top overhead,
    For we are wild and hunted men.

    Welcome from Frostproof!

    We'll be having a hang on November 11th down here. Bring your bug spray and pray that it stops raining (the camp site is currently all under water).
