Per Knotty's DIY thread about adding the stretch-side bungee to a gathered end hammock in order to create a footbox, I was wondering if anyone could make a suggestion on how to create this with a 1.7SL WB Traveler.
The side hem on the Traveler looks like about 1/3" which could accomidate a small bungee. Unfortunately, I don't have a thread injector to secure the exit holes.... any suggestions?

In his first side stretch attempt he didn't sew the holes he just used a hot blade and melted the spots.

I believe he stitched some grosgrain tabs next to the hole though. I'd be concerned that a simple burned hole would give way under very little pressure.Originally Posted by TFC Rick
Yes he did have the gross grain, but didn't button hole the openings.
