And they are now no longer in products and pass into the realm of collector items...Enjoy!

    OK then, another "collectors item"!

I don't remember reading anything here from anyone using the "convertible" model. Anybody got one?

I'm wondering how the foot end will be suspended when in "short" mode? Can't wait to play with this!

Me too. I had a good nap with it under my BMBH today, some time in it yesterday also. It is not the winter model of course, but it still has a lot of loft.

I had to figure out how to rig it up in torso mode, but it wasn't that hard. I had spare JRB suspension shock cord that I used, but without that it came with 1 spare piece of shockcord(but no biner), so I could have used that or reall even just a piece of non-elastic cord. I just put it on in full length mode, just like I would with my MW4. Then noting how low it hung below the unoccupied hammock, I just adjusted the shock cord length and ran it from the torso hammock loops to the spreader bar rings with just enough tension so that it matched the sag in full length mode. At least that was my plan with non-elastic cord. With the JRB shock cord, I tensioned it just a tad more. Then I removed the foot end "compliment". All was attached normally at the head(and foot end in full length mode) end- with hammock loops through the quilt loops, then biners attached to the HAMMOCK loops.

Almost perfect. When I got in there was just a bit of gap under my legs. I reached down and grabbed the shock cord, gave a slight tightening. Perfect. It was not cold, and when I woke up from my nap my back was close to sweating. It goes from over my head about to my knees. ~ 22 oz(9oofp) total, ~13 oz in "torso" mode, the "compliment" is ~ 9 oz. I think that is a pretty darn good weight for this much loft in a quilt that covers that much, really more than just "torso" for sure.

All of these shots, except the one from inside, are of unoccupied hammock:

Well, I wanted large pics and not thumb nail, but they are kind of gigantic. Is there anyway to post not so big, other than thumbnail or maybe taking pics with a lower megapixil setting?
